Spring Homeschoolers’ Day

The annual Homeschoolers’ Day takes place in downtown Washington, PA. Each year, activities are chosen that related to 18th century living and local history. This is one of the Bradford House Historical Association’s annual fundraisers, supporting our mission to educate.

Event Details:

  • Tour the Bradford House, the National Historic Landmark home of David Bradford, a leader of the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion, to learn about 18th century lifestyles.
  • Observe a hearth-cooking demonstration in the log kitchen cabin and sample a “sugar cake.”
  • Tour the Whiskey Rebellion Education and Visitor Center, a walk-through timeline on the causes, events, people, places, and outcomes of the Rebellion.
  • Stop in the Meeting House for hands-on activities like writing with a quill pen and dyeing wool.
  • Try 18th century toys and games in the Bradford House Garden.

  • Whiskey Rebellion Education and Visitor Center, 184 S. Main St.

The Bradford House parking lot will be closed; use metered street or lot parking.

  • $9 online registration
  • $10 at door
  • Ages 4 and up pay
  • Preregistration is recommended, to help us better plan for the day.
