Bradley Martin
Main Street Manager
Bradley Martin has served as the Executive Director of the Washington Business District Authority (WBDA) since 2025, leading efforts to support economic development, downtown revitalization, and business growth in Downtown Washington, PA. Using the nationally recognized Main Street Approach, he works closely with local businesses, property owners, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance the downtown experience through strategic promotion, business support, beautification projects, and community partnerships.
In addition to his role with WBDA, Bradley has owned and operated a marketing and creative services business since 2017, providing branding, marketing strategy, content creation, and business development support to organizations throughout the region. His entrepreneurial background gives him a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses, allowing him to effectively advocate for and support the continued growth of Washington County’s business community.

The Washington Business District Authority (WBDA) is the official downtown development organization for Downtown Washington, PA. Established in 2000, the WBDA is dedicated to driving economic development, business growth, and revitalization efforts throughout Washington’s Central Business District. Through strategic partnerships, community engagement, business support programs, and placemaking initiatives, the WBDA works to attract visitors, support existing businesses, recruit new investment, and enhance the overall quality of life downtown. Its mission is to create a vibrant, walkable, and economically sustainable downtown that serves residents, businesses, and visitors while preserving the unique character and history of Washington County’s urban center.
Where can I find the WBDA meeting schedule?
The Washington Business District Authority (WBDA) Board of Directors meets at 5:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of January, March, May, July, and September at 273 South Main Street in Downtown Washington, PA. Meeting updates, schedule changes, and public notices are posted on the WBDA Facebook page. Community members are encouraged to attend, and time is reserved on every meeting agenda for public participation and comments.

How is the WBDA funded?
The Washington Business District Authority (WBDA) is funded through an annual assessment shared by commercial property owners within the Downtown Washington Special Services District. These funds support economic development, business retention and recruitment efforts, beautification projects, marketing initiatives, community events, and other programs designed to strengthen and revitalize Downtown Washington, PA.
What is the Special Services District (SSD) boundary?
The Downtown Washington Special Services District (SSD) includes approximately 14 square blocks in the heart of Downtown Washington, PA. The district is generally bounded by Walnut Street to the north, Railroad Street to the south, College Street to the east, and Franklin Street to the west. Who serves on the WBDA Board and how can I get involved?
The Washington Business District Authority (WBDA) Board of Directors consists of nine members, including the sitting Mayor of the City of Washington and one member of City Council. Board members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council and help guide the organization’s efforts to support economic development, business growth, and downtown revitalization. Special Services District
The Washington Business District Authority (WBDA) serves a 14-block Business Improvement District (BID) in the heart of Downtown Washington, PA. The district is generally bounded by Walnut Street to the north, the railroad tracks to the south, Franklin Street to the west, and College Street to the east. Established by City Ordinance No. 1611, the BID was created to support economic development, business growth, beautification, and revitalization efforts that enhance the vitality of Washington’s central business district.
Our Purpose
To strengthen Downtown Washington by supporting local businesses, creating memorable events, enhancing public spaces, and fostering community engagement that makes our downtown a vibrant place to live, work, shop and visit.
Facade Grants
Help preserve Downtown Washington’s historic charm with the Facade Improvement Grant Program. Funding is available for exterior building improvements that enhance curb appeal and support downtown revitalization. Applications are currently closed.
