DESCRIPTION:Kick off the Whiskey Rebellion Festival by walking to your favorite local businesses while sampling local spirits.\nEach business will host vendor-featured distilleries to be announced! Each participant will receive a shot glass. And sold separately is a unique Walk shirt!\nFriday\, July 10\, from 6 to 9 pm — $50 per ticket\nRegistration starts at 5:30 pm at 182 S. Main Street\, Washington\, Pa 15301 (the Meeting House).Participants are given a wristband\, a walking map\, and a sampling glass at the Meeting House. The wristband identifies you to the vendors. Spirit and wine vendors are set up throughout the footprint within businesses. You walk from place to place\, sampling different libations.\nIf you like something you sample\, you can purchase a bottle. Some runners collect all the bottles purchased\, and at the end of the walk\, you go back to the walk registration and collect your bottles. This way\, you don’t have to walk around with your bottles. Participants will be given a pretzel snack bag and bottle of water.\nThis is the perfect way to kick off the Whiskey Rebellion Festival!!\nParticipating businesses around town will host a vendor. Walk Map to be shared.

Students will learn about the Whiskey Rebellion and what it was like living on the 1790s western frontier of the United States\, using primary sources\, reproduction clothing\, and artifacts.\nLunch will be served in our version of the novel’s Cook’s Coffeehouse; the menu is vegetable soup\, biscuits\, apple cake\, and cocoa.\nEach student will be given a Whiskey Rebellion study packet and a quill pen to take home.
