DESCRIPTION:During the workshop\, students will be introduced to the concepts of historical fiction and figurative language and to the geography of the 1790s western Pennsylvania frontier.\nPrerequisite: Student will obtain and read The Cabin Faced West by Jean Fritz. A pdf for a reading study guide will be provided to each registrant.\nLunch will be served using the book’s frontier menu: johnny cakes with homemade butter and maple syrup\, seasonal fruit and milk.
